Book of Youth

Alejandro Espinel 11-B My Book of Youth First Entry 09-01-2018 I am very excited that we are going to do this book of youth since i believe it's a very unique project and i'm very looking forward to it.  I want to let my creativity grow and see up to what extent i can write about my personal life. I want to see what is it like to write a type of journal/blog so often. I want to see how i feel about it as i start writing. I think this project is extremely interesting as we are in a crucial part on our lives in which we aren't kids anymore but we are not adults yet. I think it will be great for when i'm all grown up and see this book of youth, it will be very special and triggering to see what where my thoughts on so many different subjects. I will want to reflect on how things changed and how my ambitions and goals happened or not. My mindfulness

Today was my last day doing mindfulness and i have to say it was great. I started my day doing the breathing exercices just as the last time because i absolutely loved it. One thing that changed was the breathing times and also the cold morning it was!!! I went to school very happy and ready to take on any problem i would struggle through the day. I ended my day taking a quick mindful shower. This was different since the water was cold. This made me very grateful since i have warm water but today it was different. I breathed a lot while showering because of the freezing water hitting my body.

Relaxing

Today is started of my morning a little different, i showered and got dressed very quickly and then i opened my rooms window and i set on it, i did my breathing there. I liked this a lot more than doing it later on the day because  while i did it i could feel the cold air in my face and the sun rising, my favorite part about this it was i didn't thought of anything else that wasn't my breathing or the singing of the birds, i truly enjoyed it. It lasted 4min and there were 28 breathings. At dinner i made my other mindful by being aware of what i ate and not eating for the sake of not starving! I tasted the food and enjoyed more than i normally would, i was also very thankful for it. The whole day i was very relaxed in every way possible.

Lifestyle

As my third day i almost forgot i had to do mindfulness. I wanted to shower mindfully but i was very sleepy so i forgot. But still i ate my breakfast mindfully since i watched how my fried egg was frying in the pan, also i ate it very slowly taking all the flavors into consideration. Then later on the day in my house i did the third level of my breathing app on my watch. This one was 21 breaths and it lasts 3min. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others since it looked like it was never going to end but it was actually just 3min. I can see how people turn this into a lifestyle since I've noticed im very calm now in certain situations.

My mindful exercices

Today was my second day doing mindfulness and I was very exited today as well. I wanted to try another type of mindfulness not so common so i decided to listen to music mindfully in the bus. I liked this a lot since i really payed attention to the lyrics of the songs and also of my surroundings. I got to school very aware of everything that was going on, i liked it a lot. The other mindfulness i did today was again the breathing but double the time and double the breaths. That means i did 14 deep breaths with my watch and it lasted 2min. I think i can start adapting to this mindful exercices. I really liked the music mindfulness and also i found very relaxing the breathing one, i think I've found my favorite mindful exercices.

My first day doing mindfulness

Today was my first day doing mindfulness and i was actually very exited and looking forward to it. I started my morning off by taking a mindful shower. I normally shower very quickly since i'm always late for school but today i woke up a little early so i could shower mindfully. I did everything very slow and I payed attention to everything around me. The water heating up as it hit the floor, the steam rising and covering up the mirror. My first touches with the water, etc. Not long ago i did my second mindful of the day which was to breath in my room alone. I closed the door, turned the lights off, set on the edge of my bed and turned on my breathing app on my Apple Watch. This app has different settings which allow more or less breaths in different time periods. I started off today by setting it up for 1min which makes me breath 7 times deeply.
